Solution Consultant(5-7years)
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and commercially aware Digital Solutioning Expert to serve as the bridge between client needs and Codilar's technical capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of presales, solution design, and business development requiring someone who can translate complex business requirements into compelling, well-structured solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in digital commerce platforms, a strong understanding of enterprise ecommerce ecosystems, and the ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how Codilar wins and delivers on high-value client engagements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Requirement Analysis & Clarification
- Lead structured requirement-gathering sessions with prospective and existing clients to understand business goals, technical needs, and constraints.
- Develop and document detailed solution briefs including scoping notes, client expectations, BRDs, FRDs, translation documents, and pricing clarity.
- Ensure complete alignment between client expectations and proposed solution scope before handover to delivery teams.
2. Solution Architecture Design
- Design end-to-end solution architectures covering platform selection, integrations, consulting approach, and technology stack.
- Conduct platform audits and assess growth opportunities, recommending the most appropriate commerce technology approach for each client context.
- Evaluate third-party integrations, ancillary tools, and ecosystem partners to build comprehensive and scalable solution blueprints.
- Deliver solution design outputs within defined turnaround timelines, with a target cadence of three solution designs per week.
3. Solutioning Library Management
- Build, maintain, and continuously enrich an internal library of reusable solution components, templates, and reference architectures.
- Ensure the solutioning library is well-organized and readily accessible for use across the growth and presales teams.
- Establish the solutioning function as a knowledge centre within Codilar by driving structured knowledge transfer and tracking venue influence outcomes.
4. Client Pitch Support
- Lead the solutioning and technical narrative within client pitches, working in close coordination with the sales and growth team.
- Translate complex solution designs into clear, client-friendly presentations that communicate business outcomes and value.
- Contribute directly to improving pitch quality and the number of qualified pitches progressed to closure on a quarterly basis.
5. End-to-End Deal Documentation
- Own the preparation and accuracy of all deal documentation including Estimations, Final Pitches, MSAs, SOWs, Addendums, Work Breakdown Structures, and Team Matrices.
- Ensure documentation is commercially sound and fully aligned with agreed scope prior to deal closure.
- Track Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV) as a key outcome metric for assessing deal quality and solution fit.
6. Deep Research
- Conduct in-depth research on client profiles including business stage, competitive positioning, target market, growth aspirations, and technology landscape.
- Evaluate and document relevant technologies, both core commerce platforms and ancillary ecosystem partner products and solutions.
- Apply research insights to sharpen solution relevance and improve Pitch NPS scores on a monthly basis.
7. GTM Engineering
- Develop and maintain a structured Target Client List, conducting acquisition audits to assess fit and prioritize outreach.
- Support go-to-market efforts by engineering targeted solutioning approaches for specific verticals, geographies, or client segments.
- Deliver a minimum of four GTM engineering outputs per month in collaboration with the sales team.
8. Competition Mapping
- Monitor and analyse the competitive landscape across digital commerce platforms, agencies, and solution providers.
- Develop Right-to-Win strategies and competitive positioning frameworks to strengthen Codilar's pitch effectiveness.
- Deliver a minimum of three competition mapping exercises per month to inform sales and solutioning strategy.
9. Reporting & MIS
- Maintain accurate CRM records and MIS updates reflecting all solutioning activities, client interactions, and deal progress.
- Prepare monthly reporting covering KPI achievements, misses, critical errors, challenges, and recommended solutions.
- Provide structured observations and a clear way forward to support continuous improvement across the solutioning function.
REQUIREMENTS
- 6 - 7 years of experience in digital commerce presales, solution consulting, or a related technical solutioning role.
- Hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce (Magento), Shopify, Shopify Plus, Pimcore, or Fluent Commerce.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into structured solution architectures, proposals, and commercial documentation.
- Proven experience preparing and presenting client-facing solution pitches, RFP responses, and deal documentation including MSA, SOW, and WBS.
- Familiarity with system integrations, omnichannel commerce ecosystems, and third-party technology partnerships.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently at both technical and business leadership levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct deep client and market research and translate findings into actionable solutioning strategies.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools, MIS reporting practices, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
