Software Tester
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with mandatory Shopify experience to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual testing, particularly within e-commerce platforms, ensuring smooth and error-free user journeys across browsing, cart, checkout, and payment flows on Shopify-based storefronts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of Shopify-based e-commerce websites, covering end-to-end user flows including product browsing, search, filters, cart management, checkout, and payment gateway integrations
- Test Shopify-specific features such as themes, apps/plugins, product variants, collections, discount codes, and storefront customizations
- Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution
- Validate functionality across multiple browsers, devices, and screen sizes
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand feature requirements and ensure quality standards are met
- Write and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans
- Conduct regression testing for new releases, theme updates, and app installations
- Verify payment flow accuracy, including different payment methods, discounts, coupons, and order confirmations
- Report on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in manual testing
- Mandatory Shopify experience, including testing of Shopify storefronts, themes, and/or apps
- Specific exposure to e-commerce website testing, including:
- Browsing/navigation flows
- Cart functionality
- Checkout process
- Payment flow validation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot edge cases in user flows
- Good understanding of QA processes, bug lifecycle, and test documentation
- Ability to work independently and join immediately
Good to Have
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
- Experience with Shopify Plus
- Basic understanding of API or automation testing concepts
